Planned Parenthood targets vulnerable Republicans with $47M midterm push

...in Attempt to Protect Their Taxpayer Funding

Planned Parenthood is investing a near-record $47 million into the November midterm elections aiming to unseat the Republicans who voted to cut off the organization from federal funding last year. The “We Decide” campaign from Planned Parenthood Votes — an independent Super PAC affiliated with Planned Parenthood — will target ads and voter outreach in battleground House races in Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The funding will also go toward key Senate races in Michigan, where Democrats are likely running against former GOP Rep. Mike Rogers, and potentially Maine, even though Sen. Susan Collins (R) voted against the underlying bill that cut Planned Parenthood funding.

Censorship of Christians at Pride Parade

n June 27, at Trinity Pride Fest in Fort Worth, TX, street preachers Richard Penkoski & David Grisham

A female officer stated they would be cited if they said anything “offensive.” When Penkoski responded that offensive speech is protected under the Constitution and is not a crime, the officer claimed it fell under disorderly conduct, stating, “Well, yes, that is the conduct.” Another officer further confirmed that citations would be based solely on whether others were offended. When Penkoski asked whether calling a biological male a “male” would result in a citation if someone took offense, the officer responded that if he continued doing so and someone found it offensive, he would be cited. Penkoski also pointed out that he was deeply offended by half-naked men walking around children at the event, but the officer dismissed the complaint, responding, “There’s really not much I can do about that.”

One issue on which teachers unions and conservative reformers agree

...cellphone bans, AI guardrails in K-12 public schools.

While disagreeing on most else, teacher unions and conservative education policy reformers share views on cellphone bans, AI guardrails in K-12 public schools. Teachers unions and education reformers are historically longtime rivals – frequently bumping heads over policies surrounding school choice, parents' rights, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practices in K-12 schools. There's one issue, however, upon which these groups agree – that technology, creeping first via phones and now Artificial Intelligence, is interfering with student learning. "Social media and student personal device use have become a constant presence in our schools,” said Becky Pringle, president of the National Education Association, the nation’s largest teachers union. “And educators are seeing firsthand the serious impact they can have on student mental health, safety and learning.”

New Ted Cruz-aligned organization takes aim at right-wing antisemitism

The Front Line, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit aimed at making antisemitism 'disqualifying' for GOP candidates

Allies of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) are launching a new political organization aimed at countering antisemitism within the Republican Party, Jewish Insider has learned, led by Arielle F. Klepach, a former assistant U.S. attorney and senior counsel for the National Jewish Advocacy Center. The Front Line (TFL) will operate as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, meaning the group will not have to disclose its donors and can spend unlimited sums toward political activity, provided campaign finance is not its primary purpose and it does not contribute directly to campaigns.

This figure represents a 16 percent decline from the previous academic year.

Of the nearly 20,000 students enrolled at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), 42 were enrolled in the Women’s and Gender Studies minor during the 2025–2026 academic year, a Campus Reform public records request has revealed. The number represents a 16 percent enrollment decline. 50 students were enrolled in the 2024-2025 academic year. In addition to the Women’s and Gender Studies minor, the Gender Studies & Research Center offers a Women’s and Gender Studies Post-Baccalaureate Certificate program. Records obtained by Campus Reform show the Women’s and Gender Studies Post-Baccalaureate Certificate has had no enrolled students during the past two academic years.

...on allegations Southern Poverty Law Center funded KKK

Experts on “hate” and “extremism” have ignored numerous requests to comment on allegations that the Southern Poverty Law Center funded informants who used money to buy Ku Klux Klan hoods and cross-burning materials. A federal indictment alleges that more than $4 million in donor funds went to pay confidential informants within extremist groups. The latest indictment alleges some money was used for “recruiting new members and purchasing materials for cross burnings and Ku Klux Klan robes and hoods,” according to CBS News. The College Fix contacted seven university centers that study hate and extremism and asked for a reaction to the indictment

All fraud is harmful, but defrauding education dollars meant to help kids learn and succeed is especially hideous. The findings in this report should alarm every family, teacher, and civic leader...Jorge Armando Contreras, the former fiscal services director for the Magnolia Elementary School District in Orange County, was charged with altering school checks over several years to funnel $16.7 million into his personal accounts. Contreras was spending the money on everything from a luxury home and a BMW to designer clothes and pricey tequila and federal investigators found stacks of cash stuffed into a mini-fridge and luxury designer bags at his home.

...to Irish Writer Graham Linehan After Armed Arrest at Heathrow Airport for ‘Gender-Critical’ X Posts. In September 2025, The Gateway Pundit reported that Irish comedy writer Graham Linehan, best known for creating Father Ted and The IT Crowd, was arrested at Heathrow Airport over social media posts criticizing transgender ideology. Linehan was met by five armed officers on arrival in London and detained in connection with three posts made on X. The posts under investigation included one in which Linehan wrote that men entering female-only spaces were committing abusive acts and should be challenged, with police called if necessary. A second post read, “Make a scene, call the cops, and if all else fails, punch him in the balls.”

New Masculinity Puts the Cart Before the Horse

Why Nature Comes First When Nurturing Boys

Why Nature Comes First When Nurturing Boys. Some contemporaries are calling for a new masculinity, a message presented in all sorts of ways in our K-12 education, colleges, work-environments, public policy, therapy, and media institutions. Think of Liz Planks, For the Love of Men: From Toxic to a More Mindful Masculinity. There are others of course. One has to wonder how this “new masculinity” message might resonate with our children and the parents, communities, and institutions that aim to raise and support them. What thoughts, conversations, and activities come from this new age mindset? How do children and institutions internalize and exercise this new masculinity?
