The site owner explains, I
'm not a scholar. I'm just another housewife whose college education was put on hold by a surprise pregnancy. However, this is my theory: Our mothers were told they could have it all - great husband, great kids, great house, and a great career. Sure, some few pulled it all off, but most of our mothers ended up teetering on the edge of a nervous breakdown if not worse. We were the guinea pigs of this new era. We're the latchkey, daycare generation and we want something different, something better for our families. So what did we do? We decided to forgo a high-powered career or intense education(at least for a while) to raise our children instead of placing them in daycare. Many of us practice attachment parenting and are raising socially conscious children.
