Reason for Radicals for Capitalism. You are invited.
on Friday 30 October 2009
by Manny Klausner

You are cordially invited to join Reason for Radicals for Capitalism, a special series of videos, articles, and events that celebrate the enduring power of Ayn Rand's ideas, starting November 2.

If you're in the Washington, D.C. area, please join us Monday, November 2 at 6 p.m. at Reason's D.C. office for a panel discussion of Rand's legacy with Reason.tv's Nick Gillespie, Reason Senior Editor Katherine Mangu-Ward, Reason columnist Veronique de Rugy, and filmmaker Patrick Reasonover, who will screen a trailer for the newly restored DVD version of the 1942 film of We The Living. White Russians (courtesy of our friends at the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States) will be served. RSVP to events©reason.com.

On Tuesday, November 3 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern time/12:00 p.m. Pacific time, you can join Reason Senior Editor Brian Doherty as he hosts a live chat at Reason.com on the subject: "Is 2009 the Year of Ayn Rand?" To participate or follow, simply go to reason.com/reason-live-chat.

Check out the December 2009 issue of Reason, featuring the cover story "She's Back! Ayn Rand is bigger than ever. But are her new fans radical enough for capitalism?" and a new Peter Bagge cartoon about the Rand legacy.

Starting on November 2, Reason.tv will debut "Radicals for Capitalism," an eight-part series that explores Rand's growing popularity in an era when free minds and free markets face unprecedented attacks from all sides of the political spectrum. For a full schedule and special preview of Radicals for Capitalism, and a collection of Reason articles about Ayn Rand, visit: www.Reason.org/rand

As Rand herself wrote, "Capitalism is the only system that can make freedom, individuality, and the pursuit of values possible in practice."

All the best,

Manny Klausner
